Cory Worf
My passion for cycling began on a BMX Track when I was 11 years old. Since then the two constants have been my bike and my beliefs. Little did I realize how far they would both take me.
Everything you do in your life shapes you into the person you are, and working with Jimmy throughout his recovery changed me forever. I have had the good fortune to have worked with World Cup, World and National Champions during my carrier, and I have never seen anyone work as hard as Jimmy did during his recovery. He proved that sometimes the biggest limiting factor in life is the will to not accept the fact that people tell you that you can’t do something. He also gave me an appreciation for the normal things in life. Most of us take for granted the fact that we can brush our own teeth, and feed ourselves. So if by riding my bike across country can help just one person it would all be worth it because the pain we will feel is nothing compared to what so many other people go through everyday.
My wife and three children are the most important things in this world to me, and I thank them for their support and love.
Also, thanks to Andy Hindle at CrossFit Charlotte for helping me get back to my passion of coaching athletes. These days when I’m not on my bike, or with my family. You can find me coaching at CrossFit Steele Creek.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life… You can’t change what happened yesterday, but you can work hard to be better today and tomorrow.
